DAOIST FLOW YOGA

I was first introduced to Yoga at drama school and continued to practice intermittently. If you’d asked me at the time why I thought it was taught, I'd have answered, “so we’re fit and flexible”.
As I graduated and began to navigate my chosen career path, I became acutely aware of the lack of care the industry had to offer and this is where I began to reap the true benefits of the practice.
With a persistent shoulder injury I went to see an acupuncturist, for the first time, out of sheer desperation and left with a book recommendation. Mimi Kuo-Deemer’s, Qigong and the Tai Chi Axis. Throughout my actor training I had indirectly touched upon Qigong but never truly understood it. Fascinated by it, I delved deep into the book.
Two years later I was a graduate of the inaugural 200 hours Daoist Flow Teacher Training at Triyoga under the guidance of Jean Hall and Mimi Kuo-Deemer. Daoist Flow was the perfect fit for me, weaving the parallels of Vinyasa Flow and Qigong together.
As a proud, regional, working-class man, my classes are affordable and accessible to all. Particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who feel yoga is a closed door for them. They are rooted in a down to earth tone, with a keen focus on quality and intention of movement rather than top notch execution of asana. There’s loads I still can’t do. We’re all human. People seem to think I have a sense of humour too!
Conor also specialises in Actor Training. Keep your eyes peeled for more information.

A few months ago I decided to upgrade from YouTube videos to Conor's classes and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

Thanks to Conor I now have a deeper connection with my practice, while spending and enjoying more time than ever on my mat.
